A Pocahontas inspired Bride, Lake Charles LA
I am super excited to finally be able to share these beautiful images from Luz's bridal session a few months ago at a private home on Lake Shore Dr in Lake Charles LA. I love my clients, they are very special to me. Ninety percent of my weddings are referrals from friends and family from past brides. I met Luz a few years ago when I had the pleasure of shooting Jennifer and Zack Woodley's wedding in May of 2014. Since then Luz has been a brides maid at a few of my weddings and when her fiancé proposed she contacted me to capture their special day. She's a beautiful LATINA from Mexico that knows how to smile with her eyes and pose for the camera. She made my job so easy and non of these images are retouched. Her amazing friend and makeup artist Jennifer Woodley did a phenomenal job with Luz's make up. Mrs. Woodley can be contacted through instagram at MUBYJEN or email her at email@example.com.
When I asked Luz about having a two piece wedding dress ( witch I think is very beautiful and different) she said she was inspired by Pocahontas. Her long dark hair and her petite figure made her look better than Pocahontas I must say. Today she married her best friend at one of my favorite State Parks, The Hodges Garden State Park in Florien LA. I can't wait to share some of the images from their special day. This park has been the backdrop of many bridal sessions and lots of great family activities. I'm sad to say that the park will close next week do to budget cuts from our state. Hopefully they will re-open soon because it is the perfect location to have a wedding and enjoy the nature trails and gardens with family.
